offices.
JOB SUMMARY
To assist
the Director of Quality, Risk and Compliance with the implementation of the
QA/RM Plan., assist Compliance Officer in staff education and compliance
activities, and represent NOTCH as patient Ombudsman.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports
QA/RM Program
- Participates
in and facilitates selected performance improvement projects
- Effectively
extracts and analyzes medical data for QA, peer review, and RM activities
- Compiles
statistical data and writes narrative reports summarizing QA findings
- Assists
with the review and preparation of organizational policies for QA
Committee
- Assists
patients and families with concerns or issues
- Serves
as liaison between patients and staff regarding patient complaints
- Assists
patients/families with obtaining a primary care provider to meet their
needs
- Conducts
activities for internal audits to support the Compliance Program
- Performs
other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations
- Knowledge and experience with quality improvement
processes and chart auditing
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize work
load
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
EDUCATION
Associate’s
or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Related field preferred
EXPERIENCE
Experience in
a clinical setting preferred
QA
experience or other related field that
demonstrates critical thinking preferred
